Call for Workshop Papers

Scope and Motivations

In conjunction with GIIS 2026, the conference will host a set of thematic workshop sessions focusing on emerging research challenges at the intersection of networking, computation, and intelligence. These sessions are intended to complement the GIIS 2026 main technical program by providing a focused forum for innovative, exploratory, and early-stage research contributions.

The workshop sessions particularly target new architectures, protocols, and systems for next-generation networks, including computation-aware networking, 6G and non-terrestrial communications, and the tight integration of networking and artificial intelligence. Compared to the main conference track, workshop session papers are expected to emphasize novel ideas, preliminary results, visionary concepts, system prototypes, or work-in-progress, including interdisciplinary contributions that may not yet be fully mature.

Workshop sessions are designed to encourage interaction, discussion, and feedback, fostering exchange among researchers, practitioners, and early-career participants from both academia and industry. The shorter paper length supports concise and focused presentations, enabling rapid dissemination of emerging ideas and active technical dialogue.

Overall, the workshop sessions serve as a complementary and incubating venue within GIIS 2026, allowing authors to explore
new research directions and engage the community in discussions that may inform future GIIS contributions.

GIIS2026 will take place in the vibrant and dynamic city of Nanjing, China.
